The Alabama Crimson Tide have suffered significant losses since Nick Saban’s departure.
Saban’s departure in early January, which allowed Kalen DeBoer to take over as head coach, appeared to catch the Tide off guard. Since DeBoer’s arrival, there has been a massive exodus of players from the program, including both recruits and current roster members.
Alabama hasn’t had a bunch of unknown backups who failed to make an impact. It’s big-time receivers, starting safeties, and significant offensive linemen: 13 starters have graduated, declared for the NFL, or entered the transfer portal. Ten second-stringers have done the same.
