Everton have experienced a tumultuous 2023/24 season, with the Premier League season beginning in April. The Toffees were docked ten points for FFP violations, but they have now climbed out of the bottom three and had the penalty lowered to six points.
However, Sean Dyche’s team could face another points deduction for a second violation of regulations.
With the potential of another points deduction looming, the Merseyside club will be desperate to keep its players fit, and Football FanCast is here to keep you up to date on the latest injury news from Goodison Park.
Lewis Dobbin has been absent since March due to an ankle injury sustained in a strange accident at Finch Farm.
However, Everton fans will be relieved to know that he is improving, as Dyche stated today:
“Dobbo is making good progress now” .
In better news, Amadou Onana appears to be returning, albeit this is not confirmed.
Dyche gave a favorable update on the situation this afternoon.
“Amadou has had a few knocks, so we’ll see how he is tomorrow”
Dele has yet to play under Dyche, since he was on loan at Besiktas when the former Burnley manager was appointed manager.
And things have gotten worse for the recovering midfielder, who is expected to be out even longer after undergoing surgery recently.
Dyche recently provided an update on Dele as well, stating: “Dele’s aim is simply getting healthy. Obviously, he still has a period to go, but he’s just focusing on that. We’re not worried about when; instead, we’re focusing on getting fit. That is all we expect him to accomplish, and that is all he wants to do.
