Former Green Bay Packers starting wide out is expected to sign with the Chicago Bears.

This season, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have one more meeting. In Week One, the Packers won the inaugural meeting between the two famous franchises. With two weeks remaining in the season, the Packers are still competing for a playoff spot, while the Bears have already begun planning for next season.

The Bears, on the other hand, could make a move soon in order to end the season strong.

Amari Rodgers, a former Green Bay Packers wide receiver, could be signed by the Chicago Bears.

Bleacher Report’s NFL staff suggested that Chicago pursue free agent wide out Amari Rodgers, a former Green Bay Packers wide receiver and return man:

Amari Rodgers, Wide Receiver

Wide receiver is expected to be one of the Bears’ most pressing offseason needs, and they could use someone in the slot since Darnell Mooney’s contract is about to expire. Rodgers should be brought in for a few weeks to evaluate if he’s worth a reserve/future contract, especially given he won’t turn 25 until September.

Clemson Football: Amari Rodgers is primed for a big-time 2020

He has played 33 games with the Colts (2023), Texans (2022), and Packers (2021-22), catching 20 catches for 249 yards and one score. Rodgers has also run three times for 18 yards, returned 40 punts for 305 yards on average (7.6), and returned 17 kickoffs for 321 yards on average (18.9).

It would be an intriguing move if the Bears signed the former Green Bay Packers third-round draft pick. Would they contemplate it solely to gain an advantage against the Packers in their Week 18 matchup?
