Two former Green Bay Packers have been named finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the most storied clubs in professional sports history. Many players who have worn the Green and Gold (or Navy and Gold) have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame over the course of their 100-year history. Others, such as wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, should be in but aren’t.

Last year, voters corrected a 20-year omission by inducting safety and Lambeau Leap innovator LeRoy Butler into the Hall of Fame. While they have yet to correct Sharpe’s exclusion, there is still hope that he may be admitted shortly.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame unveiled the 15 modern-era contenders for induction in 2024 on Wednesday. To be inducted, each former player must get at least 80% of the committee’s votes.

Two former Packers players who played important roles on the team in the mid-to-late 2010s are among this year’s finalists.

Former Green Bay Packers Julius Peppers and Jahri Evans are finalists for Pro Football Hall of Fame induction.

Former Packers players Julius Peppers and Jahri Evans are among the 15 contenders for the Hall of Fame. Peppers was a member of the Packers from 2014 to 2016, accumulating 25.0 sacks during that period. His 159.5 sacks are officially the fourth most in NFL history. He played in his final Pro Bowl with Green Bay in 2015.

During his 17-year career, Peppers appeared in nine Pro Bowls, was voted First Team All-Pro three times, was awarded Defensive Player of the Year in 2002, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame 2000s and 2010s teams.

During his career, Peppers also played for the Carolina Panthers and the Chicago Bears.

Jahri Evans, an offensive guard, retired from the NFL with the Green Bay Packers in 2017. He played 11 years with the New Orleans Saints prior to his lone season in Green Bay.

Evans has six Pro Bowl appearances and has been nominated to four First Team All-Pro teams. He also won the Super Bowl in 2009 with the Saints.
