During the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 16 loss to the Miami Dolphins, linebacker Micah Parsons didn’t hold back in expressing his honest feelings about the refereeing.

It’s safe to conclude that Parsons is displeased, particularly with the referees’ uneven refereeing during the game. Speaking to reporters after the game, the Cowboys defensive star expressed his conviction that some of the calls against them (or no calls in their favor) were “BS.”

“The things that are called and the positions that we are put in are mind-boggling.” We simply need to learn how to deal with hardship. I realize a lot of it is nonsense, but that’s the world we live in. We have the star on our helmet… “It’s just difficult to play defense,” Parsons stated to The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

Parsons took particular issue with a roughing the passer call called against him in the second quarter, when the Dolphins faced a second-and-1 situation on the Cowboys’ nine-yard line. Tagovailoa completed a pass, but the penalty on Parsons canceled it. Miami then scored on the next play.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons rails against NFL officiating after loss to Dolphins: 'It's mind-blowing'

“(The referee) stated that my intention was to penalize the quarterback. How am I punishing him if all I’m doing is sacking him? that’s not like that was a surprise. It’s not like I’m going anywhere. I didn’t take the initiative. “I’m not sure how you make that decision,” Parsons remarked of the unexpected punishment.

The Dallas Cowboys’ situation was exacerbated by the fact that Micah Parsons was detained on many occasions yet nothing was called in his favor.

The Cowboys’ defense was heavily chastised during the game for failing to make a vital stop, with the Miami Dolphins winning on a walk-off field goal by Jason Sanders. Dallas did not force any turnovers, which many attribute to their loss.

However, Micah Parsons’ message to the officials did not end with the postgame news conference. Following the game, the two-time Pro Bowler and former NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year rushed to Instagram to plead with the officials to improve their refereeing.

Furthermore, he apologized if he did something that enraged the referees and caused them to rule against him.

It’s unclear whether the NFL and the referees will take Parsons’ message well, but it will surely bring more attention to the interplay between him and the officials.
