SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news are proudly sponsored by Fitter and Faster Swim Camps. Swimming in college is a lifelong ambition for many people, and they work hard to achieve it. Fitter and Faster is honored to recognize these athletes and those who helped them along the way.

John Simmons of Humble, Texas, has verbally committed to the University of Texas for the 2025-26 academic year and beyond. On social media, he wrote:

“I am overjoyed to announce that I have verbally committed to swimming and studying at the University of Texas at Austin!” I’d like to thank all of the kind people who have helped me realize this goal. First and foremost, I’d like to thank my parents and siblings for being there for me through all of life’s ups and downs. Your unfailing love and support mean everything to me. Thank you to my teammates and friends for pushing me in practice every day and keeping me cheerful throughout difficult moments. I would also be unable to compete at the collegiate level without the instruction and support of my coaches. Coach Chris, Coach Pink, Coach Matt, and Coach H, thank you. Finally, I’d like to express my gratitude to Coach Wyatt Collins and Coach Eddie Reese for providing me with this incredible opportunity. “Snap ’em!”
