To strengthen their rotation, the Yankees are Agreed to sign the two-time Cy Young winner.
Blake Snell is expected to join the New York Yankees in free agency in order to strengthen their rotation.
Snell will have many suitors because he is among the top starting pitchers available in free agency. The Yankees will sign the two-time Cy Young winner in free agency, according to Danny Abriano of SNY.
“The Yankees could be among the top suitors for the biggest starting pitchers on the market, depending on how their offseason goes (more on that below),” Abriano wrote. Additionally, before they signed Marcus Stroman last summer, they showed interest in Snell.
“The Yanks need another ace-level starter, but they also need to strengthen their offense and improve their fundamentals this offseason,” Abriano continued. “Snell should not have to pay as much in years or money as the other top starters because he has the ability to dominate.”
Snell would support the Yankees rotation right away. To strengthen New York’s rotation, Aaron Boone might have the left-hander pitch before Carlos Rodon and after Gerrit Cole.
With the San Francisco Giants, the left-hander made 20 starts and finished 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA. 2018 and 2023 saw him win the Cy Young award.
