Leicester City legend is choosing between retirement, contract renewal and a summer move to Saudi Arabia.

Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy is reportedly planning to leave the King Power Stadium at the end of the season. Staying with the Foxes for a year in the Championship, the 37-year-old returned to English football’s top league earlier this summer. Vardy has started eight Premier League games for Leicester, scoring three times, including a goal in the 3-2 victory over Southampton on Saturday afternoon. Steve Cooper’s men have risen to 14th in the Premier League standings after winning two games in a row either side of the international break. Vardy has played 472 games for Leicester since signing from Fleetwood Town in July 2012, scoring 193 goals and cementing his place as a club icon.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Leicester legend Vardy is approaching a watershed moment in his rags-to-riches journey up the English football pyramid. According to reports, the 37-year-old is pondering retiring from the King Power at the end of the current season. Vardy is expected to decide whether to hang up his boots or take a lucrative contract with either the Saudi Pro League or the Qatar Stars League. The veteran has only played professional football for FC Halifax Town, Fleetwood, and Leicester, and he has yet to play outside of England.

Vardy might join another former England international in Saudi Arabia, Ivan Toney, who transferred from Brentford to Al-Ahli this summer. Vardy’s influence by 2024 Despite turning 38 in the midst of the season, Vardy is still having a significant influence for the Premier League champions from 2015-16. The 26-time Three Lions international is deadlocked with Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Facundo Buonanotte for the Foxes’ Golden Boot. Vardy will attempt to inflict harm on an East Midlands opponent on Friday night when Cooper’s side hosts Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
