The latest Leicester City transfer news as AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham discusses recent transfer rumors, including talks of a loan to the King Power Stadium. Tammy Abraham has downplayed transfer speculation, insisting that he intends to perform his best for AS Roma despite reports of a loan to Leicester City. The Englishman has been heavily linked with a move to restart his career this summer. After a 27-goal debut season in the Italian capital in 2021/22, Abraham’s growth has been hampered by injuries, and he has only scored 10 more goals in the last two seasons.

Steve Cooper is aiming to add firepower to his Foxes squad before the summer window closes, and the King Power Stadium has been named as one of his potential destinations. The latest rumour from Calcio Mercato suggests as much, at least for the season, but the man himself has now sought to put an end to any speculation of a Roma exit. “Since the first day here in Rome I have wanted to demonstrate my passion for football and my desire to help the club,” he told the news outlet Sky Sports.

“I am a cheerful and usually optimistic person. This is my first post-injury preparation; it’s my season, and I want to prove that I’m back. The rumors are obviously wonderful; they suggest you’re doing well, but I’m here with Roma and ready to give my best.” Along with City, the current speculation is that Premier League rivals Everton and Bournemouth, who now have £65 million and a free striker place after selling Dominic Solanke, may offer the 26-year-old a return to his motherland. However, the attacker reportedly preferred a season-long move to AC Milan.

On the other hand, if a deal occurred, Roma would reportedly want to sell to a Premier League club for at least €30 million. Discussions over a loan to Milan would have been difficult between direct Serie A rivals because Milan wanted to assess Abraham’s injury record over the course of a year before committing to a permanent transfer, whereas Roma would have hoped to include simple conditions to trigger an obligation to buy.
