DJ Glaze, an offensive line rookie who is highly praised, must start his NFL career against defensive end Maxx Crosby, an established superstar on the defensive line. This is something that Glaze must deal with every practice day.

Since iron sharpens iron, Glaze’s daily struggles with one of the top defensive players in the league will demonstrate whether or not he is, in fact, the genuine deal and prepared to contribute right away for the Las Vegas Raiders.

In spite of being a rookie taken in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Maryland, Glaze is receiving a lot of positive feedback throughout training camp, which is encouraging for his immediate future with the organization.

On the “JT The Brick” program, Tom Telesco, the general manager of the Oakland Raiders, recently provided some insight into the rookie offensive tackle.

According to Telesco, via Vegas Sports Today, “DJ Glaze held his own against Maxx Crosby, and he’s coming along a little faster than I anticipated.”

With the Raiders either having veteran journeyman Gardner Minshew or second-year quarterback Aidan O’Connell under center to start the 2024 NFL season, the offensive line will have to be as solid as it can be, as protection up front will be paramount to the team’s success on offense.

That said, Glaze has an opportunity to make a case to be a starter along with fellow rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson, who is currently injured, ahead of their Week 1 battle against the AFC West-rival Los Angeles Chargers on the road at SoFi Stadium.
