Chelsea has not been as aggressive in making high-profile signings this summer, but they have already made waves in the transfer market by bringing in one of the world’s best prospects in Willian Estevao, Euro 2024 standout Renato Veiga, Barcelona gem Marc Guiu, and Leicester City’s talented Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

These are all high-quality, low-cost signings (Dewsbury-Hall is the most expensive at 35 million euros), which can help Chelsea prepare for the future, as has been the club’s transfer policy since Todd Boehly took over as owner. To continue improving an attack that was unimpressive outside of breakout hero Cole Palmer last season, Chelsea will have to let some unpleasant faces go.

Striker Armando Broja has long been on Chelsea’s transfer list, and following a disappointing loan spell at Wolves, the Blues are hoping for a more suited environment for the physically imposing No. 9. According to journalist Mark Douglas, Broja is interested in signing with Premier League club Everton this summer as a Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement. However, he may be closer to joining AC Milan now.

Calvert-Lewin is one of England’s best strikers, but he’s struggled to remain healthy on the field and might leave this summer if a decent offer comes in. And if Calvert-Lewin does leave Everton, Broja would be interested in coming in and vying with Beto as the new No. 9 for a perpetually failing club.

Broja is only 22 and skilled, so he may be a good fit for Everton on loan with the option to buy – or perhaps on a permanent deal for less than 20 million euros. However, he isn’t as excellent or as established as a healthy Calvert-Lewin, and given Everton’s recent relegation fears, they would prefer someone more established than Broja, who has yet to demonstrate his Premier League potential.

Milan are likely to have similar concerns about Broja and a higher standard of quality, especially after adding Alvaro Morata as a starter. After coping with Luka Jovic’s failure to break out, Milan may be hesitant to take a second chance at striker, leaving Everton as a more viable choice for playing time.
