Sean Dyche has conceded there are ‘ongoing situations’ in Everton’s summer transfer business. So far, the Toffees have signed three players: Tim Ireogbunam and Iliman Ndiaye on permanent contracts, as well as re-signing Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United. Everton, on the other hand, is looking to add to their roster. They missed out on Jaden Philogene, who is expected to return to Aston Villa from Hull City, but are interested in Leeds winger Willy Gnonto. Meanwhile, Amadou Onana is closing in on a £50 million move to Aston Villa.

Dyche, speaking to Everton’s media department during the pre-season camp in Ireland, claimed that he has been in continuous contact with director of football Kevin Thelwell this summer and hopes that additional transactions may be made. The Goodison Park manager stated: “Kev has worked extremely hard all summer. I’ve been on the phone continuously discussing maybes, different circumstances that may or may not happen, some that we can push forward with, some that we can’t, and some that we must keep an eye on to see if they are coming for our guys.

“There are some ongoing situations that are maybes. We will wait and see. We’re doing our best to adapt to the market while remaining within the parameters of the club’s current status. It has been a task since I arrived, and it continues to be a challenge, but we have demonstrated that we can be very competitive in our signings and create a team. That remains critical.”
