For the past week or two, Green Bay Packers supporters have been following the New York Jets’ head coach and general manager searches. The outcomes of those hirings will undoubtedly shape the Jets franchise and, by extension, the fates of former Packers players Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Of course, the entire NFL world has no idea what Rodgers will do this summer, whether he will retire or announce his desire to return. Of course, if he chooses to play in 2025 and New York decides to move on from him, the potential Pro Football Hall of Famer may not have many options, at least ones he is interested in.
Adams, on the other hand, will very probably play in 2025 and beyond. New York must also decide what to do with him as a result of his contractual obligations. They can save tens of millions of dollars by releasing him, allowing him to become a free agent. And he’s been hinting at a possible return to Green Bay a lot lately.
Davante Adams Compared Jayden Daniels to Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love
During his most recent guest appearance on Kay Adams’ show “Up and Adams,” the three-time All-Pro wide out was asked what he liked best about Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. He replied, “He reminds me a lot of J Love, just in terms of demeanor, tranquility, and fluidity out there. And you never see him getting worked up. He may throw a ball out there a little too far, and someone may not catch it, which does not happen very often, but if it does, you can get a different sort of veteran feel back there.”
Adams, of course, was around Love in 2020 and 2021, his final two seasons with the Packers. Many people have noticed Love’s poise and calmness during the last two years. However, the fact that Adams brought him up without prompting had Packers fans ecstatic. Green Bay Packers fans are certain that Davante Adams wants to come home.
Needless to say, Packers supporters were once again pleased to hear Adams say something great about Love and Green Bay.
