Everton made a contract offer to Bobby De Cordova-Reid when he left Fulham on a free transfer, according to Graeme Bailey. The journalist says on his personal X account (5 July) that the Jamaica international had a number of offers on the table, notably from Fulham and the Toffees, before deciding to join Leicester City instead. His move to the King Power Stadium has been confirmed, with the 31-year-old signing a three-year contract with the newly promoted club. Everton aim to bolster the offense under Sean Dyche. After re-signing Jack Harrison on loan for the upcoming season and signing Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille, Sean Dyche has made it obvious that he needs greater attacking alternatives.

Decordova-Reid is a player who knows the Premier League well after spending several years with Fulham and his hard-working style would fit right in with the way Dyche sets up his teams.

However, it is evident that the player’s priority would be regular first-team football, therefore he chose to join a club where he is significantly more likely to start. Unfortunately, it is a setback for the squad because they would not have made an offer if they did not believe he could, but they must now adapt and change in order to get someone else in.
