Jannik Vestergaard and Ricardo Pereira have been spotted modelling the new outfit, which is adidas’ seventh but the first to showcase new sponsors BC.The Leicester City home shirt for the 2024/25 season has been revealed. The new jersey, designed by adidas for the seventh consecutive season, went on sale Saturday morning. It features new sponsor BC.Game for the first time. City struck a lucrative two-year agreement with the cryptocurrency casino, which they claim will help fund their transfer business.
The new shirt has the typical Adidas three stripes down the sleeves and gold detailing around the collar. The club motto ‘Foxes Never Quit’ is imprinted across the top of the back of the shirt. The adult shirt will cost £70, an increase of £7 over previous year. The kids version, which is devoid of the BC.Game shirt sponsor, costs £45, the same as last season. City fans will be able to watch the team in the new kit during preseason, maybe for the first friendly under Steve Cooper, away to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday, July 23. There is no specific date for the publishing of the away and third strips.
The choice of sponsor has sparked debate and criticism among City fans, with many disappointed that the club would advertise gambling on the front of their shirts. Gambling sponsors are common throughout the Premier League, but will only be so for two more seasons, as the league has implemented a ban on such jersey sponsors beginning with the 26-27 season.
