Bryan King believes Dan Friedkin may pursue Thomas Tuchel for the managerial position at Everton. The ex-Goodison scout believes the Toffees’ possible new owner should make a change in the dugout. Everton have been busy in recent weeks, sealing the acquisitions of Tim Iroegbunam and Jack Harrison and awarding other contract extensions. And King, speaking exclusively with Goodison News, is curious about Sean Dyche’s future. “Is Dyche going to remain as the manager?” King asked.
“Will the new owner want to bring in his own man?” Who is responsible for signing and approving new contracts for club players?I hope it’s Dyche, but there appears to be some question. The new owner should keep things as they are for six months before making any changes. Someone like Tuchel, perhaps he would fit into the type of manager Friedkin prefers.”
Could Everton appoint a high-profile manager like Thomas Tuchel? On paper, Dyche does not deserve to lose his job. The 53-year-old maintained Everton in the Premier League last season under difficult circumstances and deserves at least another season in charge. However, given all that is changing at the club, this may not happen. Should the Freidkin Group accomplish a takeover, they may wish to make a statement appointment to begin their reign.
Bringing on a well-known manager like Tuchel, who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, might help the club do just that. While that may appear ludicrous at first, keep in mind that current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was in the Goodison Park dugout not long ago. As a result, Friedkin could attempt to replicate Dyche’s success by appointing someone like Tuchel to inject some positivity into Everton.

The Toffees blogger responded via Twitter on June 21 to a fan’s concern about how long the process should now take, following the club’s confirmation that the American had entered an exclusivity period with Farhad Moshiri to complete the transaction.

That money at least got the club through a turbulent season, and it appears that there may finally be some light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing can be taken for granted until it is completed and confirmed, and few Evertonians are likely to share their experiences with the club and its existing majority shareholder.
However, the idea of starting the final Premier League season at Goodison Park with some future clarity and, in principle, a strategy in place to handle the financial concerns would be a significant step forward. If that translates into a more secure move into the new Bramley Moore Dock development, the upheaval of the past few seasons may be over.
