This offseason, the Green Bay Packers will need to make changes at several spots. During the 2024 NFL offseason, Green Bay sought to rebuild the running back situation, which they did. Last offseason, the Packers elected to release Aaron Jones and sign Josh Jacobs. Last offseason, they also drafted Marshawn Lloyd. This offseason, another position on the squad that might be altered is cornerback.
Green Bay Packers choose cornerback Zy Alexander from the LSU Tigers in the third round of the most recent 2025 NFL mock draft. There is little doubt that the Packers will need to choose a few cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Mock Draft, particularly in the early rounds. The Green Bay Packers will pick 87th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. According to the Pro Football Network, Green Bay has selected cornerback Zy Alexander from the LSU Tigers. They stated:
“Sometimes there is a perfect player-team fit in the mid rounds that you can’t take your eyes off of, and Alexander to the Packers to create and Alexander-squared cornerback duo feels perfect even without the name symmetry.” This past season at LSU, Zy Alexander has 33 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, and three pass deflection. Alexander stands 6’2″ and weighs 194 pounds. Jaire Alexander may not be on the Green Bay Packers’ roster next season.
Packers Cornerback Overhaul
If the Green Bay Packers choose two cornerbacks in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, it signifies that Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes will not return following season. It’s also possible that Keisean Nixon won’t return next year. Zy Alexander could be worth keeping an eye on in the NFL Draft’s third round. The Green Bay Packers will devote a significant amount of time this offseason to scouting cornerbacks for the 2025 NFL Draft.
