Steve Cooper has proposed a multimillion pounds proposal for a 25-year-old great athlete.

Leicester City are among the several clubs keeping an eye on Fabio Carvalho’s future at Liverpool. With Steve Cooper at the helm, the Foxes can properly begin preparations for the new season. “With the right additions that the club are working together in trying to bring in, we’ll give ourselves the best chance of reaching the objectives that we’ll set for next season,” stated the newly appointed head coach.

Several names have been circulated as potential candidates for the Welshman’s first signing at the King Power Stadium, the most recent being forgotten Reds attacking player Carvalho. According to the Daily Mail, Leicester, Fulham, Southampton, and other European clubs are interested in the 21-year-old. He moved to Anfield two summers ago, leaving Fulham at the end of his contract, but his career since then has been bumpy.

Highlights of his first year at the club were goals against Bournemouth and Newcastle United, the latter of which came in the 98th minute. His last start was in October 2022, against Cooper’s Nottingham Forest, and he has since been confined to small cameos at irregular intervals. “I don’t really speak to him, to be fair,” he remarked of his strained relationship with former boss Jurgen Klopp when he left for RB Leipzig on loan 12 months ago, but he struggled to find consistent minutes in Germany. Only until the move was terminated, followed by a mid-season swap to Hull City, was the true Carvalho able to emerge.

In the second division, he appeared 20 times for the Tigers, scoring nine goals, notably the opening in March’s 2-2 draw with Leicester, and assisted twice as Liam Rosenior’s side narrowly missed out on the play-offs. Despite his difficult experience at Anfield, the newest reports indicate that the Portugal Under-21 international is not eager to go. He will be given a full opportunity to impress new head coach Arne Slot throughout the forthcoming pre-season, only then will a transfer decision be made.
