Everton midfielder Amadou Onana was linked to Paris Saint-Germain last month. The Belgian international is a valuable asset that the Toffees could sell. A club could see his performance at UEFA Euro 2024 and look to secure the player. Towards the end of the season, Onana found himself not always starting in Sean Dyche’s lineup. The Premier League club may consider letting him go to secure the stay of other key figures at Goodison.
Nonetheless, FC Barcelona will not secure the Onana this summer. According to Diario AS, Barcelona has entered the transfer market in search of a defensive midfielder to replace Busquets, but sports director Deco’s preferred candidate is unavailable. The Barcelona club manager like Onana, but his recruitment would cost roughly €60 million, which is out of reach considering the Spanish team’s finances.
Last season, Onana appeared in 37 matches for the Premier League team, scoring three goals and contributing one assist. It would be fascinating to see whether PSG or any other club make a move for the Everton standout, who has experience in Ligue 1 with LOSC Lille.
