The former Orioles great inked a contract with the Blue Jays and registered his address for the next five seasons. According to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, the $92.5 million pact between Santander and the Blue Jays includes $61.75 million in deferred money. Based on this, the deal contains a player option at the end of the third year. If Anthony Santander wishes to opt out of the contract, the MLB team can void it by agreeing to a six-year extension.

With Santander on the Blue Jays squad, the MLB team would gain much-needed power in the order. He was one of the finest batters throughout the previous baseball season. Santander was third behind two popular MVPs, Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani.

Thank you to my teammates and staff for standing together, pushing me to do my best, and creating a fraternity that I value.” Santander reflected on his time with the Orioles, expressing gratitude for the memories, lessons, and people he met. Thank you for everything. “Thanks, Baltimore.” As he bids farewell to the Orioles, sports commentators believe the Blue Jays would greatly profit from his addition to their club. During his eight-year career with the Baltimore Orioles, Anthony Santander hit roughly 155 home runs and had a 0.246 batting average.
