Overall, the Green Bay Packers enjoyed a successful season. At least, that’s what their 11-6 regular-season record suggests. However, they were only 1-5 against NFC North teams and 0-6 against the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Philadelphia Eagles. Green Bay’s lack of a pass rush contributed to its losses in all of these games. Indeed, fans expected much more from the front seven after new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley claimed his team would wreck havoc in opposition backfields.
Rebrovich had previously been Green Bay’s outside linebackers coach in 2022. In 2023, he was given the title pass rush specialist. As one can tell from these dates, he had previously worked with former Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry.
When Barry was fired at the end of the 2023 season, Rebrovich was retained and promoted to defensive line coach, a position he had held with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills. Green Bay Packers fans react to Jason Rebrovich. Being Fired As one might expect, supporters were not too upset that Rebrovich was let go after the Packers failed to produce a solid pass rush in 2024.
It would be intriguing to watch who the Packers hire as the next defensive line coach, but it was clear that a change was necessary.
