Sherrone Moore Looking to Land Elite Tackle: A five-star offensive lineman, announced his decommitment from Alabama yesterday that he will wind up at Michigan.

Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines had a busy offseason. Despite what some might call a “underwhelming” transfer class, Michigan is dominating the recruiting field. The Wolverines have the ninth-ranked class of 2025, which includes two five-star prospects, Bryce Underwood and Andrew Babaloa. And now they want to add a third. This morning, Michigan senior Jeffrey Persi revealed that he would use the transfer portal as a graduate. This revelation comes after five-star lineman Ty Haywood reopened his recruitment after committing to Alabama.

Michigan has been on a roll since signing Bryce Underwood in November and is now on track to sign Haywood. Sherrone Moore, a young head coach, has demonstrated exceptional recruiting skills. After a poor 8-5 season, Michigan appears to have reloaded its roster. And it’s no wonder that he’s attracting quality offensive linemen. Moore was the offensive line coach before becoming Ann Arbor’s offensive coordinator. Moore played tackle for the Oklahoma Sooners in college and has had success recruiting great players and sending them to the NFL. Moore took over as the offensive line coach in 202.

Ty Haywood, a five-star player, aims to join that group. Ty Haywood, a five-star offensive lineman, announced his decommitment from Alabama yesterday. Here’s how we feel about our guess that he will wind up at Michigan.

Haywood has yet to commit to the Wolverines, but all indicators lead to his arriving in Ann Arbor this spring. Michigan Going Forward The Wolverines still have work to do before they can be national title contenders again. But it appears that Sherrone Moore is following Jim Harbaugh’s method. Play excellent defense and run and pound on offense. Ann Arbor already has three terrific running backs: the transfer portal’s top back Justice Haynes, ReliaQuest Bowl MVP Jordan Marshall, and scat back Benjamin Hall.

Moore may choose who those three will be running behind in 2025, as Evan Link, Andrew Sprauge, Andrew Babaloa, and Ty Haywood will all compete for the two starting tackle spots. True freshmen seldom start at any level on the offensive line, but Babaloa and Haywood are excellent athletes who can make an early impact.
