Packers Star Seemingly Wants Stud Ex-Teammate Traded to Green Bay

The Green Bay Packers’ season officially ended on Wild Card Weekend. That was not what they expected heading into the game, but the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Packers 22-10 on Sunday. The perspective for the 2025 offseason has begun, and the Packers will aim to improve their roster. Running back Josh Jacobs spoke with team reporters after the game, indicating that the roster will change next year and that he will be recruiting some new players. Who could they be talking about? It could be EDGE Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Packers Rumors: Josh Jacobs Will Be Recruiting Players Over to GB

Jacobs stated, “Our locker room will be different. We have some guys that are due for contracts this year. We have no idea what that will look like or how it will work out, but I know I’ll attempt to bring some guys here.” During the game against the Eagles, Crosby tweeted “JOSH MF JACOBS.” Jacobs and Crosby were Raiders teammates from 2019 until 2023. They formed a strong brotherhood and are still close friends. Jacobs would love to have Crosby join him in Green Bay next season, and the Packers could definitely use him. Green Bay ended with 45 total sacks, although no player had more than 7.5 sacks during the season.

Throughout the season, the Packers needed greater pressure from their front four. Adding a player like Crosby would be big. The 27-year-old has 59.5 career sacks, including three seasons of double-digit sacks. In 2025, the Raiders will be led by a new general manager and head coach. Crosby does not want to be part of another rebuild. When asked about his future with Las Vegas, he replied, “We’ll see”. There is clearly a path to acquiring Crosby, but the Packers must be hesitant to part with draft money.

Rich Bisaccia serves as Green Bay’s associate head coach and special teams coordinator. Bisaccia maintained the same duties with the Raiders from 2018 to 2021, leading Las Vegas to the playoffs as interim coach in 2021. The Packers need to make some adjustments this summer, and signing Crosby would be a huge step forward for the franchise.
