The Green Bay Packers suffered a 22-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the wildcard round. Green Bay concluded the season 11-7, having lost their last three games. There will be many questions about the Packers this offseason. During the Eagles game, it was clear that not having a number one wide receiver impacted this football club. Tee Higgins, a wide receiver, is one name to watch in free agency this offseason for the Packers.
Green Bay Packers fans want the team to sign wide receiver Tee Higgins during NFL free agency. This offseason Christian Watson was out for Sunday’s game due to an injury. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed were hurt during the game against the Eagles and did not return. Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath were the only wide receivers who remained injury-free after the game.
Because there is no clear number one wide receiver on this squad, many Packers supporters are urging General Manager Brian Gutekunst to sign wide receiver Tee Higgins in NFL free agency. The fanbase had to say this regarding their desire to sign Higgins this offseason: This season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Higgins caught 73 catches for 911 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, averaging 12.5 yards per catch. He was targeted 109 times during the offseason. Higgins has missed a few games due to injuries in recent seasons, but he has a chance to be the Packers’ number one wide receiver this offseason.
Other Suitors
There is little doubt that Green Bay will face competition for Higgins this summer. Other teams that could require wide receiver aid are the Washington Commanders, Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, and Baltimore Ravens. Last offseason, the Packers signed two notable free agents: Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney. Perhaps Green Bay should do it again this offseason, signing Tee Higgins and acquiring a legitimate number-one wide receiver for quarterback Jordan Love.
