The Kansas City Chiefs squad had some travel troubles to and from their game in Denver, Colorado this week due to weather, but “no one” was happier to get home than the team’s quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. Why? Because his wife Brittany is due to give birth! If you’re not aware, Patrick and the Chiefs do not play this week, despite being in the NFL playoffs. They earned a “bye” as the best team in the AFC Conference. The timing is ideal for Patrick, as Brittany is expected to give baby this week! With the team’s bye week secured, Patrick will not have to miss any game time for the birth of his newborn!
Patrick mentioned Brittany’s due date and when the baby would be born if she did not go into labor shortly. NFL analyst Tracy Wolfson wrote on X, “No one is eager to return to Kansas City than Patrick Mahomes. He informed me that his wife Brittany is scheduled to give birth to their third kid on Sunday. If she does not give birth by then, she will be induced on Monday. There was definitely more motivation for Patrick to have that bye week! #Chiefs.”
