Jobe Bellingham has been encouraged to follow in his brother Jude’s footsteps.
Jobe Bellingham is poised for greatness, according to Championship experts Benjamin Bloom and Sam Parkin. Sunderland are leading the Championship after one-third of the season, and Bellingham has played a significant role in that. The Black Cats have a number of players being lauded, like Bellingham and Chris Rigg, who have already wowed Premier League clubs and those in Europe with their remarkable performances.
Bloom and Parkin, speaking at The Championship Check-In, singled out Bellingham in particular when considering which player to sign from each Championship club. “I love his composure and maturity and he just looks like the complete footballer already,” Parkin told reporters. “Even his brother [Jude]’s mentality, I believe you have to put in; there’s just something extraordinary about them, the way they handle themselves on and off the field.
“I would be really astonished if he doesn’t develop into a serious top talent. I believe Bellingham already exudes leadership qualities. He must cost an arm and a leg when the time comes. Bloom commented on Sunderland’s young squad, saying he is impressed with how those “players have stepped up,” and suggested Bellingham is now “worth a small fortune.”
The 19-year-old made an appearance for the England U21s during the international break and appears to be on course to follow in his brother Jude’s footsteps. He is suspended for Sunderland’s next game against Millwall on Saturday.
