GOOD NEWS: Patrick Mahomes secures new NFL record after reaching…
Patrick Mahomes seems to be at the very top of the class when it comes to noteworthy NFL accomplishments. In Week 8 against the Raiders in Las Vegas, he crossed the 30,000-yard milestone, adding to his impressive list of accomplishments.
He not only accomplished that noteworthy feat, but he did so more quickly than any other quarterback in NFL history. Mahomes’ 103rd NFL regular season game saw him reach 30,000 yards. When Matthew Stafford was with the Detroit Lions, he had already reached the 30,000-yard milestone in 109 games.
Hall of Famers Kurt Warner and Dan Marino had both hit the 30,000-yard milestone after 114 games before Stafford’s accomplishment.
Mahomes’ 16-yard reception with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins late in the first half allowed him to accomplish the milestone.
Throughout his career, the Kansas City quarterback has minimized his individual triumphs, constantly focusing on the team’s successes. Given that Mahomes has been the Chiefs’ quarterback,
Kansas City has won three Super Bowl championships in the 2018 campaign.
Most people agree that Mahomes is the NFL’s best quarterback. In addition to being nominated to the Pro Bowl six times, he has won three Super Bowl MVP honors and two regular season MVP titles.
