ESPN: The NFL has suspended Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua following a verdict.

Puka Nacua, a Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, was booted out of the game after punching Seattle Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson in the second quarter. Dodson stopped Nacua after Seahawks defender Riq Woolen intercepted a Matthew Stafford ball intended for Nacua with only 33 seconds remaining in the first half. Woolen was knocked out by impact, but Dodson kept pressing toward Nacua, who then tried to punch him.

Nacua played in the game despite being listed as questionable with a knee injury. The second-year receiver injured his right knee during training camp, which worsened in the opening game against Detroit, forcing him to miss five games while on injured reserve. Nacua finished the game with one grab for 11 yards on four targets.

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been suspended following his ejection in a recent game against the Seattle Seahawks. The incident occurred in the second quarter when Nacua threw a retaliatory punch at Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson. The altercation followed an interception by Seattle’s Riq Woolen, during which Nacua was involved in a physical exchange. His actions were flagged immediately, leading to his ejection from the game.

Nacua, who recently returned from injury, expressed regret over the incident, describing it as a “helpless feeling” watching the game from the locker room. Despite his remorse, the NFL decided to impose a suspension due to the violation of conduct rules. The suspension adds to what has already been a challenging season for Nacua, who has faced both injuries and inconsistent performances.

This development is a significant setback for the Rams as they navigate the remainder of their season. The absence of one of their key offensive players could impact their playoff aspirations, especially in the competitive NFC West division.
