Sunderland fan journalist looks to disrupt matters at Newcastle United with Jose Mourinho’s assertions.

Friday brought claims about Jose Mourinho and Newcastle United. According to The Guardian, Jose Mourinho ‘has maintained the link’ with Newcastle United Chairman Yasir al-Rumayyan after meeting him ‘in a social role’ during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The ‘exclusive’ lacks detail and does not explain how the ‘relationship’ is maintained. According to the Guardian, Jose Mourinho has’reached out to intermediaries asking to be kept abreast of any developments at Newcastle’, though details on how this was allegedly done are missing.

It’s unclear what this ‘exclusive’ wants to do other than upsetting Newcastle United. The ‘exclusive’ is credited to Sunderland supporters Louise Taylor and Matt Hughes. Any thoughts of Jose Mourinho ever managing Newcastle United must be ridiculous. He was a fantastic manager in the past, but his success after leaving Porto was mostly due to spending large sums of money on players. Jose Mourinho has been on a downward spiral for years, as evidenced by the fact that he is now managing in Turkey’s inferior domestic league.
