Crook Shares: Sean Dyche claims his Everton days are numbered in bombshell sack expose after discussions.

After chatting with Sean Dyche at a recent occasion, Alex Crook said that he believes his time at Everton is coming to an end. The Blues manager’s future has been the subject of much speculation, and he might even be fired if he fails to defeat West Ham at Goodison Park on November 9 [talkSPORT]. Crook reviewed the match on the Premier League All Access podcast [7 November, 32:53] and expressed his thoughts on Dyche, whom he recently asked about his future. He said: “I believe he is already under Dan Friedkin’s scrutiny; in fact, when I spoke with him at the Legends of Football event, which Scott [Minto] and I attended to honor Wayne Rooney, Dyche was quite hesitant about his future.

“I just got the sense in his body language and the way he was answering the questions that he knows his days could be numbered there, that Everton might go for a more glamorous appointment.” Sean Dyche is operating on borrowed time at Everton. Dyche appeared to have turned a corner at Goodison Park, beginning on a five-game Premier League unbeaten streak that came to an abrupt end in the 1-0 loss to Southampton.

All of the 53-year-old’s efforts to turn around his fortunes have been futile, as the Blues are currently only four points above of Ipswich Town in nineteenth place, putting them back in danger of relegation. The Toffees will go to the London Stadium to play Julen Lopetegui, another under-fire manager, in a match that might almost likely decide one of the pair’s futures.

Everton are in a much stronger position on paper to return to Merseyside with three points, but Dyche cannot afford to pick the wrong players in East London, as he did by leaving out Jarrad Branthwaite at St Mary’s. The Friedkin Group is said to be ready to appoint a new leader at Goodison Park regardless of the club’s performance this season, with former Porto manager Sergio Conceicao among the targets more aligned with their long-term goal [talkSPORT].

However, Dyche is battling for the right to continue in command of the Blues for the rest of the season; sadly, what happens beyond that is out of his hands. Everton must leave East London with a victory to avoid starting from scratch; it is a daunting task, but not impossible, and it may be the momentum-boosting victory to kick off after the November international break.
