Leicester City reportedly bid £4 million for Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew, who is poised to leave the Eagles during the summer transfer window. The Daily Mail reports that Palace is now exploring a bid for Ghanaian Ayew, who has been with the club since the summer of 2018. Attacker Ayew, who turns 33 next month, has played almost 200 games for Palace and scored 23 goals, but he might leave Selhurst Park this summer with only one year left on his contract.
Steve Cooper, who obviously wants to add forward options to his squad before the transfer market closes at the end of August, takes charge of the Foxes for the first time on Monday night when they host Tottenham at the King Power Stadium.
