DON DEAL: The Miami Dolphins and Las Vegas have finalized their agreement

Curtis Bolton, a former linebacker with the Las Vegas Raiders, has signed with the Miami Dolphins, the team announced on Saturday. Gavin Hardison, a former UTEP quarterback, was cut to free up space on the 90-man roster.

After putting David Long Jr. on the physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp, Miami has been searching for depth at linebacker. Late last week, they hosted Shaq Quarterman, a former linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, before signing Bolton.

Jordyn Brooks, Zeke Vandenburgh, Channing Tindall, Duke Riley, Cam Brown, and Anthony Walker Jr. are among the Dolphins’ other inside competitors for snaps.

Before joining the Detroit Lions in 2021, Bolton bounced around the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and San Francisco 49ers after going undrafted in 2019. He settled in with the Raiders, playing mostly special teams for the first two seasons but making 23 appearances with 16 tackles.

Before having Tommy John surgery, Hardison, 24, was limited to just five games during his redshirt senior season with the Miners. He took part in the Dolphins’ offseason minicamps after signing with the organization in late April.
