The New York Yankees may have just received a much-needed lift by acquiring center fielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Miami Marlins in exchange for three prospects. The blockbuster trade has fans excited to see how the 26-year-old will fit in with the Yankees and play in the coming games.

Chisholm Jr. is also eager to wear the famed pinstripes and play in the Bronx after being shifted to center field to make place for All-Star baseman Luis Arraez of the Marlins. The deal occurred on Saturday, following the NY Yankees’ 9-7 setback to rivals the Boston Red Sox.

In exchange for Jazz Chisholm Jr., the Yankees traded prospects Agustin Ramirez, Jared Serna, and Abrahan Ramirez. Aaron Boone did not discuss the trade during Saturday’s news conference, although he did laud Chisholm Jr. previously as a player.

While Chisholm Jr. has the potential to become a key player for the Yankees, the management was concerned about his locker room compatibility. On the ‘Barreled Up Podcast’, journalist Bob Nightengale discussed his personality in the Marlins locker room.
