Everton are unlikely to fire manager Sean Dyche, despite the club’s poor start to the new season. Dismissing the English leader would apparently need a large payout, and they are unlikely to have the necessary finances. According to the Daily Mail, Dyche is entitled to a £4 million payout until the end of the season if he is fired. The club is thought to be depending on loans from 777 and MSP Sports Capital to cover operating expenditures, with Farhad Moshiri reluctant to provide any additional funds. Dyche is currently under intense pressure after leading Everton to a poor start to the 2023-24 season.
The Merseyside team is presently in the relegation zone after earning just one point from their first five top-flight fixtures. They lost to Fulham, Aston Villa, and Wolverhampton Wanderers before drawing 2-2 against Sheffield United. However, Arsenal defeated the Toffees again on Sunday, with Leandro Trossard providing the difference for the visitors. It is reported that the proposed new owners, 777 Partners, are fans of Dyche, and it is unclear whether anyone at the club has the authority to fire him while the acquisition is ongoing. 777 Partners is believed to be worth £9.7 billion, making them one of the wealthiest Premier League owners if the deal is completed.
