Alan Myers reveals if Everton’s plans will be successful.

Everton intends to sign both Willy Gnonto and Jesper Lindstrom this summer, according to Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers. The Sky Sports journalist responded to a fan on X (23 July) who asked if the Lindstrom and Gnonto deals were going to happen. Some fans questioned whether it would be a case of one or the other joining the club following their recent attacking additions. According to Gianluca Di Marzio (23 July), Napoli winger Lindstrom will complete his move to Everton.

The addition of Jesper Lindstrom and Willy Gnonto is fantastic for Everton. Everton has had a long-standing interest in Gnonto, with reports of the Italy international joining the blue half of Merseyside dating back to last season. This not only demonstrates that the Toffees definitely see potential in the youngster, but also that the attacker is a great addition to their squad.

In the instance of Lindstrom, Everton’s interest is relatively new [Fabrizio Romano, 12 July], but it is as vital to the club. The two can play in any of the front three positions and may provide the team with more pace upfront than their present roster. Iliman Ndiaye has also been brought in, and while the former Sheffield United player can play on either wing or in the number nine position, he is arguably more productive as an attacking midfielder.

If both the Leeds and Napoli aces join at Goodison Park this summer, Sean Dyche’s attacking ranks will be significantly boosted as they seek a more reliable Premier League campaign this season.
