Steve Cooper has made a decision on the Leicester City deal.

Jonny Evans played five years with Leicester City before returning to play for Manchester United. Former Leicester City defender Jonny Evans has signed another contract with Manchester United. The centre back spent five years at the King Power Stadium, appearing in over 150 games, and when his contract with the Foxes expired last summer, it was expected he may retire.

However, he returned to Manchester United, where he began as a trainee before moving on to West Brom, and made 30 appearances last season despite a string of catastrophic defensive injuries. Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, apparently liked what he saw and rewarded the Northern Ireland international with another one-season deal, which will keep him at Old Trafford past the age of 37.

“I am delighted to have extended my contract at Manchester United for another season,” he told the club’s website. “To play for this great club and feel the support from our incredible fans is always a privilege.”Returning to the club last season was an honor; I was able to represent the team on the pitch alongside amazing teammates and an excellent management. Winning the FA Cup together was an amazing experience, and I’m confident we can compete for additional trophies in the next season.”
