The rapper hasn’t held back on The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)—and even Amber Heard is in the firing line. Just when you think something has been put to bed, no pun intended, Eminem will bring it back up and remind us all about it. The Detroit rapper, 51, hasn’t held back on his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), in which he kills off his alter-ego while tackling some very current topics. He has never shied away from covering contentious issues in his songs, stunning fans with his amazing wordplay and below-the-belt jabs at other famous faces – but hitting Amber Heard is a new one.
Forget Eminem dissing Diddy on ‘Antichrist’ or discussing his impending mortality on ‘Temporary’; it’s the seventh track on his 12th album that left fans stunned. He made Aquaman star Heard, 38, the focus of a nasty punchline in the song ‘Lucifer’, which revolved around an embarrassing incident that surfaced during her defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
A lot has happened since the former couple battled it out in court and a jury in Virginia, US, unanimously decided in favor of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, but one detail has stuck with many of us. It’s certainly etched into Eminem’s memory, as seen by his mention of it on ‘Lucifer’. While finishing his second line on the song, he says: “My s**t is like taking Deborah Mathers at her word.” “Yeah, I’m that absurd, we had a spat, and afterwards “We squashed the beef like a hamburger patty, or should I say a massive turd?”
“‘Cause I put that s**t to bed like Amber Heard at a Mattress Firm.” So, in addition to taking another aim at his mother’s terrible parenting, Eminem (actual name Marshall Mathers) decided to address Heard’s potty habits – or lack thereof. The rapper cited an embarrassing revelation from the Depp v Heard trial (STEVE HELBER/POOL/AFP via Getty Images).) For those who need a refresher on all of the specifics from the Depp v Heard trial, something pretty nasty was revealed while Starling Jenkins III was on the stand.
The former executive chauffeur and security guard, who first met the Edward Scissorhands star in 1993, revealed that Heard made an odd statement about a ‘terrible practical joke gone bad’ while driving her to Coachella. Recalling the encounter, he told the court that he and Heard had ‘a talk relative to the surprise she left in the boss’s bed’ after allegedly battling with Depp, 61, during her 30th birthday party before heading to the festival.
The surprise was, of course, ‘the excrement’ left on their bed. Speaking on the stand, Depp described how he had planned to travel to their house to pick some items while his then-wife was out of town, only for Jenkins to warn him that ‘it wasn’t a good time to go’. Depp said his ex-wife attempted to blame the ‘fecal matter’ on the bed on their pets (JIM LO SCALZO/POOL/AFP via Getty Images).) He explained: “And I thought, ‘It’s the right time. She won’t be home for two days. Then he showed me a photograph on his phone of our bed, with human feces on my side of the bed.
According to the actor, Heard ‘tried to blame’ the mess on his pets. Depp continued, “They are miniature Yorkies. They each weigh approximately 4 pounds. The photograph I saw – I spent many years with those pets. “It wasn’t the dogs.” In the trial, Heard also stated that Depp’s dog, Boo, has ‘bowel control issues’, and when questioned if she had performed ‘any prank’ about the fecal matter, she replied, “Absolutely not.” Although the s**t chatter had long subsided, Eminem plainly believes we shouldn’t forget it so quickly.
By the way, if you’re going to listen to ‘Lucifer’ or the complete The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) for yourself right now, keep in mind that the rapper warned you not to play it in the wrong order. Eminem warned listeners that because it is a ‘conceptual album’, it’might not make sense’ if not listened to in order.
