Everton is reportedly preparing a €8 million bid for Hellas Verona defender Jackson Tchatchoua, which has frustrated Belgian club Charleroi. According to Voetbal Nieuws, such a trade would be a disappointment for the Belgian side, as they sold him for less only a few days ago. Tchatchoua was officially sold to Hellas Verona by Charleroi on July 1st, when his loan contract with the Italian club was converted into a permanent move. He had a successful first year with the Italian club and had been linked with a move to Inter Milan, but Everton has reportedly stepped up and launched a €8 million approach for him.

If he were to depart for such a fee, it would be a’real pity’ for Charleroi, who would undoubtedly see a large cash go to a different club soon after selling their player. In other words, they’d be fairly angry if Tchatchoua moved to Everton for €8 million this summer after selling him for €3 million, as they’d have missed out on €5 million in profit. It all relies on Everton actually buying the defender this summer, but if they do, and pay €8 million or more, Charleroi will be cursing their luck. This is why you need to acquire large sell-on clauses, Charleroi.

Everton’s 2023-24 team regular joins new club following extended stint at Goodison Park

Mackenzie Hunt, a former Everton player, has signed a two-year contract with Fleetwood Town after being released by the club earlier this summer. On Thursday (4 July), the fourth-tier side confirmed the transfer via their official website. Hunt, who joined Everton’s Academy at the age of six, was a fixture on the bench last season, appearing as a substitute 17 times in the Premier League. Despite his numerous appearances, the 22-year-old has never made a senior appearance for the club. Hunt had been at Everton since the age of 13 and has recently represented both the U18s and U21s.

The midfielder will wear number 16 for Fleetwood and is expected to make his debut during the preseason. Everton’s exit is a good move for Mackenzie. Hunt Hunt’s exit from Everton may be the greatest decision for his career right now. After nearly a decade at Goodison Park, the 22-year-old midfielder was frequently on the bench last season but never played a senior match.

While this gave him first-team experience, it also demonstrated the difficulties of breaking into a Premier League side. Hunt’s deal with Fleetwood allows him to break out of the shadows and establish his own path. He will most certainly get more playing time at Fleetwood, which is important for his development and confidence. Furthermore, the relocation may revive his passion and drive, allowing him to demonstrate his abilities on a more regular basis.

Hunt’s stint at Everton provided a solid foundation, but a change of scenery may be just what he needs to reach his full potential and make a huge impact elsewhere.
