After joining Everton from Watford in 2018, the attacker became an instant hero for the Blues, scoring twice on his debut in a 2-2 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2018. During his time at Goodison Park, the Brazilian has been mentored by a number of renowned managers, including Champions League winners Carlo Ancelotti and Benitez, but he is now working for a boss who is not far removed from his own playing days.
“We try to learn everything we can from him,” he added about Lampard. “Due to his football background, he understands our situation as well. “He always tries to lift our spirits when we’re having a bad day.”This is his second job as a Premier League manager, having previously worked for Chelsea. He possesses all of the necessary qualifications to excel at Everton. The players must believe in his work, as we do. We’ll do everything we can to progress with him in charge, and we hope he enjoys his time at Everton as well.”
