Everton are close to completing the acquisition of Iliman Ndiaye. The Toffees have already agreed to sign the 24-year-old offensive midfielder, who has a five-year agreement at Goodison Park. Everton reportedly paid around £17 million, including add-ons, and Marseille accepted the deal. The Toffees did not register the deal last month, mostly to dodge the Premier League’s intricate financial procedures. Many fans have been concerned about the status of the transaction, but as the dependable Alan Myers says, there’s nothing to worry about.

The Sky Sports journalist said that “Think it’s just getting done to be honest” in response to a fan’s question on X. In a separate tweet, Myers notes that while he does not have a precise information at the moment, he expects confirmation to come. According to a recent TeamTalk report, the transfer is complete, with only the official confirmation missing. Ndiaye might be a promising addition to the Toffees. While his time at the French club did not go as planned, his time with Sheffield United prompted the Toffees to take a chance on him.

In 46 Championship appearances for the Blades, he scored 14 goals and assisted 10 times, demonstrating his versatility. He can play as a striker, a second striker, or a wide attacking midfielder, and he might be a utility player for Sean Dyche. Everton has already signed Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United, making Ndiaye the club’s third signing of the summer transfer season.
