Nottingham Forest’s PSR concerns have been alleviated before of the deadline at the end of the month, and the focus now shifts to arrivals. Nuno Espirito Santo’s summer window at Forest is already underway, with players already coming and going from the City Ground. Evangelos Marinakis has already approved the sale of Moussa Niakhate to Lyon, easing Forest’s fears over the PSR deadline. And the negotiations appear to be continuing at Forest, with the Reds reportedly in talks with a Premier League opponent over a prospective trade.

Nottingham Forest in discussions for £40 million Premier League player Forest and Newcastle United are allegedly discussing a potential trade deal for winger Anthony Elanga. It has been reported that the two clubs have considered swapping Elanga for Newcastle academy graduate Elliot Anderson. The Toon are one of several Premier League teams that are missing the PSR deadline. However, it appears that a different player may be involved in the proposed transfer between the two sides.

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle has also considered incorporating Yankuba Minteh in its interest in Elanga. The two teams are thought to be discussing a variety of potential moves, with conversations intensifying in the last 24 hours as the deadline approaches. Minteh is one of the players being considered between the two clubs, with Newcastle hoping to sell the winger this month. The Gambian forward was due to join Ligue 1 club Lyon for £40 million, but he declined the transfer. Yankuba Minteh could offer Forest Anthony Elanga as a replacement.

Anderson has been one of Newcastle’s most promising young players in recent years, having advanced from the academy to the first team. However, in Minteh, Forest may find a more immediate replacement for Elanga, as the Gambian impressed in the Eredivisie last season. Minteh provided Feyenoord with 11 goals and six assists in all competitions. Minteh’s former teammate, Igor Paixo, informed the Dutch media that the 19-year-old is a very promising talent. “Yankuba keeps moving. He has tremendous power and speed. “An exceptional talent in an exceptionally strong period of his career,” he told AD.
