Murillo to have a physical at Chelsea after a £60 million deal was finalized.

Paris Saint-Germain plans to bolster its center-back position during the forthcoming summer transfer window. Recent reports have linked the Parisians to a number of players, including Nottingham Forest’s Murillo. Last season at the City Ground, the Brazilian performed immensely, helping the team avoid relegation from the Premier League. The Brazilian is attracting interest from prominent European clubs, with the Telegraph (via The Mirror) reporting that Chelsea is interested in signing him. He is a target for new Blues boss Enzo Maresca, but the Forest management believes he is worth roughly £70 million.

Murillo was purchased from Corinthians for an initial £11.2 million last summer before being voted Forest’s player of the year following a successful maiden season in the Premier League. Chelsea are contacting intermediaries about the 21-year-old’s availability. Murillo claimed in a recent interview that he received several offers from other clubs to leave Nottingham Forest this summer.

“I’ve received a few offers,” Murillo stated. “Some are official, while others are sounding out. I will bring it up with my manager. These were clubs from England, Italy, and Germany. If I stay in Nottingham, I will try my best. If I leave, I hope they would honor my decision. I’m cool and evaluating everything in the best way.”
