Courtney Brosnan, Everton Women’s 2023/24 Player of the Season, has signed a new two-year contract with the Toffees. The Republic of Ireland international has the most saves (95) in the Women’s Super League last season. Brosnan told evertonfc.com, “I’m incredibly happy to be continuing as an Everton player. “I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far and I’ve created a lot of great memories with the girls and the fans, and hopefully that continues over the coming years.” “It’s safe to say that this club is a second home for me. I’ve developed a wonderful set of pals here. The coaching staff have been excellent mentors for me, and I’m delighted to have a special link with the supporters as well.”

Manager Brian Sorensen stated, “I’m overjoyed that we can keep Courtney at the club. Without a sure, she is one of the top goalkeepers in the league, and she is highly valued by our team. “She has continued to improve year-on-year and produced some unbelievable performances for us last season.” Nikola Karczewska to join AC Milan after leaving Spurs Women

Charlton manager discusses bargaining stance with former Everton and Southampton defender.

Charlton manager Nathan Jones has stated that once their incoming transfer activity is concluded, the club would pursue a long-term contract with Thierry Small. Following his departure from Southampton at the end of January, the left wing-back signed a short-term contract. The former Everton youth, 19, impressed for the Addicks, who offered better terms. Charlton then exercised a 12-month extension option included in the original deal. The South Londoners are focusing on the current trading period, having already added four players: Will Mannion, Luke Berry, Josh Edwards, and Alex Mitchell.

Jones told the South London Press, “We want to tie him (Small) down.” At the moment, we are unable to. We’ll go on to say that once we’ve completed all of our recruitment, we’ll look into anyone we’ve been introduced to. “Thierry isn’t going anywhere with it. We’re quite pleased with him. “Thierry is beginning to obtain the home that we believed he required. I believed he needed (that) – someone who could work with him on a consistent basis. Because Thierry is most likely the same player he was when he moved from Everton to Southampton – he is powerful, physical, and possesses some fantastic qualities, but he needs to learn the position.

“That’s what we’re going to do here.” Charlton have boosted their left-sided options with the signing of Josh Edwards from Dunfermline. Edwards, who can play a variety of positions, was deployed as a wing-back by the Scottish Championship team. “I monitored him and knew about him, probably just after Christmas,” Jones claimed. “It is a difficult position to fill. We signed Thierry at the time; he was a free agent who I knew but kept an eye on. We have a great balance there since Thierry is not like Josh. “It provides us with significant diversity in that position. He (Edwards) has been on my radar for a long, and we beat out a number of competitors.”
