Chelsea are allegedly in talks with Leicester City about signing highly rated midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this summer. The 25-year-old has been with the Foxes since the age of eight and was instrumental in the club’s promotion back to the Premier League last season. Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 goals and assisted 14 times in 44 appearances for Leicester. Last season, the attacking midfielder was named the Foxes’ Players’ Player of the Season in recognition of his outstanding efforts.

Will Maresca bring Dewsbury-Hall to Stamford Bridge this summer? Dewsbury-Hall played under current Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca during Leicester’s Championship-winning season, and according to The Athletic, the Blues are considering reconciling the two by inquiring about the possibility of acquiring the brilliant midfielder this summer. According to the source, no formal offer has been made yet, but the player is reported to be solely interested in a move to Chelsea if he does leave his boyhood club. It is understood that the Foxes are not actively attempting to sell their academy product this summer, but have valued him around £35 million.

The 25-year-old’s current contract at the King Power Stadium is slated to expire at the end of the 2026–27 season. According to a separate report from talkSPORT, Brighton & Hove Albion, who attempted to recruit Dewsbury-Hall last January, are considering making another offer for him during the current transfer window. Dewsbury-Hall pours admiration on his old boss Dewsbury-Hall, who played for Maresca last season, is thought to be a good fit for the type of play that the Italian boss hopes to impose at Stamford Bridge.

In a recent interview with the BBC, the 25-year-old expressed love for his former employer, saying, “Enzo was an outstanding manager. I truly see him being a good manager, so it’s no wonder that he’s in demand. “It is weird having to change a manager after being so successful, but that’s football.” Maresca’s departure to West London was confirmed earlier this month, and given his success with the midfielder last season, it wouldn’t be surprising if the two team up again in the future. Chelsea has already completed two additions this summer, including former Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

The Blues have also revealed that they have agreed to sign adolescent wonderkid Estevao Willian, who will join them at the start of the 2025–26 season.
