According to Fabrizio Romano, a French international has successfully completed his medical examination at Everton.

Everton are close to completing their third summer signing after agreeing to terms with Iliman Ndiaye. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the 24-year-old offensive midfielder has agreed to a five-year deal at Goodison Park. It has been claimed that the Toffees will pay a sum of around £17 million, including add-ons, and Marseille has agreed to those terms. Romano has provided a new update (26 June) on Ndiaye’s transfer status. The former Sheffield United midfielder is currently having a physical on Merseyside, and it appears that Everton have finally secured their objective, unless there is a sudden collapse.

“Exclusive: Iliman Ndiaye is now in Merseyside having medical tests as a new Everton player. “OM will receive €18.5 million plus €1.5 million in add-ons, and Ndiaye has signed a five-year contract until June 2029,” Romano wrote on X. Everton demonstrate ambition in the transfer market. Despite their financial troubles, the Toffees have already signed two players. They’ve signed Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds United. Ndiaye will become the club’s third acquisition of the summer, unless there is a big issue during the medical. It’s clear that an agreement has been reached; otherwise, Marseille would not have permitted the player to come to Merseyside for his physical.

Everton had sought to sign the attacking midfielder on loan with the option of making the move permanent, but Marseille preferred a straight deal. Ndiaye has struggled to make an impact in the French League, but his performances in the Championship for Sheffield United piqued Everton’s interest. He scored 14 goals and assisted 10 times in 46 Championship games for the Blades, and Sean Dyche will be hoping he can match similar figures for the Toffees. Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin was extensively connected with a move to Newcastle United, but the Magpies chose to withdraw from the race after the Toffees failed to decrease their asking sum.
