Leicester City has spoken with the player’s representatives about a possible move this summer.

Leicester City have cooled their interest in RWDM midfielder Pierre Dwomoh after he sustained an injury while playing for Belgium’s U21 team. That’s according to writer Sacha Tavolieri, who believes that negotiations between the player and Leicester have been ‘less effective’ due to his recent injury. Leicester City have been connected with a move for the 20-year-old since May, with the club stating at the time that they were interested in him. According to a second report, they had spoken with the player’s representation about a possible move this summer and were hoping to beat Luton Town, another potential suitor, to a €3 million transfer.

There has been no update on the situation since the end of May, and Tavolieri reports that it is due to an injury sustained while playing for Belgium’s U21s against Morocco at the beginning of June. As a result, Leicester’s interest has waned, and the player’s recent encounters have been “less successful.” He says that, while the Foxes continue to study Dwomoh ‘from a distance,’ it appears they are not as eager to sign him as they once were due to the injury.
