Tim Iroegbunam, an Aston Villa midfielder, will get a medical at Everton on Thursday, according to Football Insider. On June 18, Football Insider exclusively disclosed that the Merseyside giants had an offer approved for the 20-year-old. According to sources, the England U-20 international has reached a full agreement on personal terms and the transfer fee as he prepares to move to Goodison Park.

The signing will cost roughly £10 million, as Sean Dyche aims to strengthen his midfield options for next season. Iroegbunam is now set to sign for Everton, barring any last-minute surprises in the agreement. Tim Iroegbunam is likely to make Everton switch as medical booked. Iroegbunam has had few first-team appearances at Villa Park since signing from West Brom in 2021.

The midfielder spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Championship side Queens Park Rangers, where he scored four goals and provided four assists in 32 games. Despite playing 15 games for Unai Emery’s team last season, Iroegbunam only started two of them. However, the kid did play home and away against Ajax in the Europa Conference League, which Villa won 4-0 on aggregate. Football Insider revealed in March that the Dutch giants were interested in Iroegbunam, but Everton now appear to be leading the fight for his signature.

Villa is attempting to raise capital because they believe they are approaching the limit of their acceptable profit and sustainability (PSR) losses. Football Insider reported earlier this month that the West Midlands giants needed raise £60 million in player sales this summer.
