The Tannadice manager has returned to a familiar market from his days as Aberdeen manager. SHARE Dundee United have agreed to terms with Macedonian winger Kristijan Trapanovski. The deal for the 24-year-old free agent is now contingent on the player obtaining a work visa and passing his physical. Trapanovski is planning to leave Shkupi and move to Scotland later this month. The footballer, who previously represented Macedonia under-21, has also played for Academia Pandev and Slavia Prague B.
United’s manager, Jim Goodwin, is no stranger to Macedonia. He signed Bojan Miovski for Aberdeen and hopes his fellow countryman has similar success on Tayside. Trapanovski could bolster the North Macedonian ranks in Scotland, as Motherwell also has Davor Zdravkoski. United are working hard to bolster their team after being promoted back to the Premier League. United has already agreed to hire Crewe goalkeeper Dave Richards on a two-year contract.
United also want to sign Cheltenham defender Will Ferry in the coming days. Miller Thomson, a United youth, is also expected to sign a new long-term contract. His present contract was scheduled to expire.
