Leicester City is poised to miss out on the £43 million-rated starlet.

Leicester City transfer rumors are analyzed, with links to Roma striker Tammy Abraham, Juventus winger Matias Soule, and Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff. The transfer window may have just started officially, but rumors have been circulating for several weeks. Even Leicester City, which is concerned about financial constraints, will not spend heavily this summer. Deals will need to be made at some stage to prepare them for their Premier League survival bid.

We’ve picked three of the most recent City transfer rumours and examined them thoroughly to discover if they are true. You can share your ideas in the comments box at the bottom of this page. According to reports in Italy, City is one of several clubs interested in Abraham as Roma prepares to split ways with the England striker. He is fit again after recuperating from an ACL tear, but he has fallen out of favour since his comeback, with Daniele De Rossi replacing Jose Mourinho in the dugout.

Abraham had a fantastic first season in the Italian city, scoring 27 goals, including the winner against City in the Europa Conference League semi-finals. He scored nine goals in his second season at the Stadio Olimpico, but only once in the previous season, which was marred by injuries. According to the Telegraph, Abraham might be available for roughly £20 million, with a return to the Premier League possible. Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, and Aston Villa are among the clubs reportedly interested.

Jordan Blackwell of LeicestershireLive says: Up front, City has quantity, but do they have the quality? That’s a question they should ask themselves this summer. Even with Kelechi Iheanacho departing on a free transfer, City has plenty of options up front for the next manager to work with. Very few managers play with two up front these days, so a trio of strikers is probably enough.

But right now, the possibilities are a 37-year-old Jamie Vardy, a hit-or-miss Patson Daka, and an inexperienced Tom Cannon. It will be necessary to examine whether any of the three are capable of leading City’s battle for survival. A regular performer up front appears to be critical to City’s survival, therefore bringing in a new striker may be a wise decision given the club’s limited resources. And Abraham seems like a great signing.

He’s fast, tall, and has a propensity for scoring goals. He is 26 years old, which is an excellent age. He has Premier League experience, but he will have matured during his time with Roma, and he will return to England eager to demonstrate that he should be considered alongside Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney, and Dominic Solanke as Three Lions options. In that case, £20 million is fairly inexpensive. If City decides they need a new forward, Abraham appears to be an excellent choice. Being able to promise him the lead striker job may make City an appealing alternative for Abraham, even if Spurs and Villa are interested.
