The Atlanta Braves launched a new hat Friday in partnership with NASCAR Cup Series driver Chase Elliott. The cap, which includes the Braves’ distinctive “A” emblem on the front and Elliott’s No. 9 on the side, comes in two different colors of blue. All hats are available at the Braves Clubhouse Store in Truist Park and the Threads by Braves Clubhouse Store in The Battery.

Elliott, a Dawsonville, Georgia native, is a lifetime Braves supporter. Elliott won his first Cup Series triumph in 2020, followed by the Braves’ first World Series win since 1995. Georgia also won the College Football Playoff National Championship for the first time since 1980. Elliott attended a ceremony of Georgia champions at the College Football Hall of Fame in June 2022. Elliott has returned to being one of the most consistent drivers on the circuit this season, following an injury-riddled campaign the previous year. Elliott, who won at Texas earlier in the season, has been scoring points in recent weeks. He has seven top ten finishes in his last ten starts and has not finished worse than 15th during that time.

Chase Elliott is one of the favorites this Sunday at Iowa Speedway. Elliott is now second in the points standings following his fourth-place finish at Sonoma on Sunday. He’ll be looking for his second win in the inaugural Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway on Sunday. The racetrack first opened in 2006, but it is now staging its inaugural Cup Series event, the Iowa Corn 350.

“I remember fans, in particular, always talking about how badly they wanted a [NASCAR Cup Series] race, so I’m just happy that they finally got one,” Elliott said this week of Iowa Speedway. “I believe it’s been a worthy facility for a long time. And whatever the cause is or how long we go, I believe it’s excellent that they did things well over the years and got one.”
